It has been a little over a week and a half since closing, and we are all moved in. I would like to say that we are settled, but I am always wanting to start a new project!
Here is the front of our cute house.
When you walk up our steps, we have a little porch. We plan to put a small set of table and chairs here in the future.
When you walk through the front door, you are immediately in the living room. (When we finish the basement many years from now, this will really be just a living room, and we will have a family room downstairs.) This room has very high vaulted ceilings, but we plan to paint the room light grey and paint the woodwork. I plan to put a large mirror over the hole above the fireplace, because it is quite possibly my least favorite part of the house. So 10 years ago...
The left side of this picture shows bookshelves that are on the stair wall that head up to the bedrooms. Directly behind the living room is our dining room.
We had all the decor for this room in our apartment before. We hope to get a new dining set eventually. We also plan to paint this room a light grey and put up crown molding.
From the dining room, you go through a doorway and enter the kitchen.
Off the kitchen is my office, which is perfect for working from home! This desk is actually Matthew's and will eventually go upstairs, but for now, it will be down here.
Here is part of the backyard from the sliding door in the kitchen. The backyard goes all the way around the house and we have two full side yards as well. Bailey loves this yard and has been having so much fun!
Here is the view of the kitchen, dining and living rooms from the sliding door. Off to the right, you can see the pantry, laundry door and garage door. There is also a half bath on the left side of this hall.
We just bought our first washer and dyer and love them so far! It is so nice to have a laundry room!
Here is our half bath off the kitchen. I hope to put up wainscoting and paint this in the future.
The stairs are right at the front door, and the master bedroom is at the top of the stairs. It has double doors and a beautiful tray ceiling. We don't have much furniture yet...but that will be a process.
The master bath has double sinks, a soaking tub and a shower.
We also have quite a large walk-in closet that I'm currently working to get organized (post to come). As we unpacked, I quickly become very ashamed at the amount of clothing I own. However, it has helped me to cut down on the shopping!
Here is the guest room/my craft room. It is a work in progress and I will be making a cushion for the window seat.
Full Bath off the hallway upstairs.
Matthew's music room is also a work in progress. He will eventually have his desk up here where he can record and some chairs to play guitar with friends.
We are so excited to be in our house and I will post all the updates we do!
